Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Children with autism are not “broken” and in need of “fixing.” They are simply wired a little differently and require special care, therapy, and treatment to help them overcome challenging symptoms like sensory difficulties and an inability to adapt to transitions.

Many children with ASD often experience mental health challenges not specific to autism, including:

  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder

  • ADHD

  • Separation anxiety disorder

  • Major depressive disorder

  • Social anxiety disorder

  • oppositional defiant disorder

Following an autism diagnosis, your child can significantly benefit from a variety of therapies including:

  • Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA therapy)

  • Occupational Therapy

  • Speech Therapy

  • Medication management for co-existing conditions

If you need an official diagnosis and guidance to get your child the help they need, I’m happy to help. I can diagnose ASD, provide any medications that may be required to treat psychiatric conditions and provide referrals to trusted therapy and testing resources.
